The Magewell Ultra Encode HDMI Plus is a standalone hardware video encoder that accepts up to 4096x2160 30fps video via HDMI 1.4a / DVI-D input, encodes it in H.264 or H.265 (HEVC) with dual-stream capability, and simultaneously pushes to up to 6 streaming destinations. Supported protocols include NDI HX2 / HX3, SRT, RTMP / RTMPS, RTSP, HLS, RIST, ZIXI, and TVU ISSP. The device can also record simultaneously to its built-in 128 GB local storage, an external USB device, or a NAS. A built-in Wi-Fi radio (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Gigabit RJ45 with IEEE 802.3af PoE, Web UI, and third-party API support enable flexible remote management and integration with Magewell Control Hub. At just 106.6 mm × 106.2 mm × 25 mm and supplied with a T-bracket, it is well suited for broadcast, enterprise live production, remote production, and conference-room deployments.

Does this device need to be installed in a computer?

No. The Ultra Encode HDMI Plus is a standalone hardware encoder. Simply connect an HDMI source and a network, then operate it through the Web UI — no host computer required.

What is the maximum supported resolution and frame rate?

The input supports up to 4096x2160 and 3840x2160 at 30fps. The main encoded stream can also reach 4K 30fps, and lower resolutions allow higher frame rates (up to 60fps).

Can it stream to multiple platforms simultaneously?

Yes. It can push to up to 6 destinations at the same time, including Twitch, YouTube and Facebook, as well as NDI HX2 / HX3, SRT, RTMP, RTSP and other protocols.
